FYI and Discount Tire is influencer marketing done right!
In early 2015, Discount Tire came to FYI in order to get their first taste of influencer marketing. Founded 1960, Discount Tire was in no way a newcomer to the marketing efforts it takes to start and maintain a well-known and loved brand, and for them, running their first influencer campaign was just the next piece of their puzzle.
In February 2015, Discount Tire launched their first campaign to get their fans and followers excited about the new Bridgestone Drive Guard Tires. Starting small and working with only two influencers, Discount Tire had over a million unique views to their first two featured posts – a huge success in our book and theirs.
Since this first campaign, Discount Tire and has worked with FYI on eight campaigns and with 20 of our amazing influencers. Recently, Discount Tire launched their Earth Day campaign with influencers like Addicted2DIY, and Practically Functionally, each featuring a new and unique way to use a recycled tire. This extremely popular campaign garnered over 30,000 views and left each influencers fans and followers inspired and ready to re-image and create a practical and beautiful new item out of a used tire.
Among ours' and Discount Tire's fans and followers favorites were Practically Functional's hot pink DIY doggy bed and Addicted2DIY's gorgeous flower planter. We expect to see loads of these unique and creative pieces floating around the blogosphere all spring and summer long.
